I love music and I have always used it as a way to relate to others in a way. When I was feeling down I would actually go searching for depressing songs so that I didn't feel so alone especially knowing that someone else felt that way too. Now, there isn't a song for every feeling or every idea, but there are a few that I listen to and go "Wow I feel that way too about so and so," or "I wish someone felt that way about me and expressed it in this way," or even "I wonder if this is how s/he feels..." Music is a essential part of my life, it always has been and more than likely always will be. I used to write my own lyrics (though I honestly don't remember the tunes to most of them anymore) and it was fun to sometimes show the person and see their reaction. I sometimes wish someone would do that for me (songs, not poems, though I always loved the poems. They were easier to understand >.< ) but I don't mind the reusing of other people's works. I don't know, there is just something incredibly romantic about being sung to.
